Twelve 2007 Pinot Noir 144 Yamhill-Carlton District

Wow, what a terrific Oregon pinot noir the Twelve 144 was. The Twelve 2007 Pinot Noir 144 Yamhill-Carlton District (13.5%) was a deep garnet red in the glass, offering bright, perfumed red berry fruit notes, which were repeated in strawberry and raspberry flavors balanced with good acidity. The predominantly cherry finish was long, yet evolved into other more complex flavors with each sip. We drank the Twelve pinot noir over two nights, the first with a dinner of roasted chicken thighs with garbanzo beans, cherry tomatoes, and smoked paprika and then the second with grilled wild King salmon, heirloom...
