Ken Wright Cellars 2007 Pinot Blanc Willamette Valley

ken-wright-pinot-blanc-2007.jpg

In the glass, the Ken Wright Cellars 2007 Pinot Blanc Willamette Valley (12%) was a clear, light yellow color with ripe tropical fruit, minerals, and yeast notes being most predominant. In the mouth, this wine had a funky twang to it, which wasn't pleasing.

I found the Ken Wright pinot blanc made in style that wasn't to my liking. There was little of the fresh, floral fruit one gets with pinot blanc. And this wine was far too viscous and cloying with a off-putting finish to boot.

At $24, there are better and more inexpensive Oregon pinot blancs I would choose over this one. As such, I would pass on getting another bottle.
