King Estate 2007 Signature Pinot Gris

This Oregon pinot gris has become somewhat of a staple at our dinner table these last few months. We enjoy the King Estate 2007 Signature Pinot Gris Oregon (13%) as an aperitif or with a meal calling for a food-friendly pinot gris.
The '07 pinot gris is a light, clear straw color in the glass, with scents of pineapple, cantaloupe, lemon and honeysuckle. The tropical fruit and honey flavors stand out, but are well balanced by the crisp acidity in this wine. It's a delicious table wine offering a wonderful complement to any meal.
We paired the King Estate 2007 Pinot Gris Oregon with a beef yakisoba dish Kari crafted by stir frying a soy-seasoned hanger steak, carrots, broccoli with yakisoba noodles in a large wok. The King Estate pinot gris matched well with the spiciness of the dish and all its flavors and textures.
This is a versatile wine to have on hand whenever you're interested in a glass before dinner or opening a bottle for an entire meal. I keep several bottles on hand, because it's become our "go to" white on many occasions.

I was actually given a bottle of King Estate as a gift earlier this year. It is a delightful wine. Thats the best word I can use I think, 'delightful'. Its great, nothing wrong with it. And if I was able to get more I think it would also be a go-to wine
